WELCOME!

Hi, Welcome to the Kosh Family Blog! We started this blog in October of 2008, when Sophia was already 15 months old. We posted some info about how my pregnancy was, and notes people wrote to Sophia while I was pregnant. We'll do our best to keep things up-to-date. We're excited to start this journey of parenthood, for the whole world to see. Feel free to leave comments!

October 20th, 2008, FIRST POST

Hi! Welcome to the Kosh Chronicles Blog!
We're going to catch you up on our story, and try to keep this as up-to-date as possible.
Sophia turned 15 months yesterday and she is growing and learning at an amazing rate!
Jeffrey still works with computers doing web and software development, and I am now officially a stay-at-home mom. My husband and daughter are my ministry and career for now, and I'm enjoying every minute.
I closed my shop in July in order to concentrate on my biggest priority... my family.
We're doing well and enjoying the cool crisp Autumn weather. We're keeping a close eye on this upcoming election, how about you?
Well, I can hear Sophia starting to awake from her morning nap. I'll write more soon!
-Kristi

Hi Sophia I just realized I hadn't written to you for awhile. Grandpop and I are SOOOOO happy that you have been born and are the perfect baby we expected!! You are beautiful and perfect. I have had the chance to hold you and look into that precious face. You feel cozy and warm and I could just hold you forever! But Mommy and Daddy won't let me! haha But each moment that I do hold you is special and precious. You are certainly a fashion bug. You have beautiful outfits and each one is so cute on you. You have lots of hair and Mommy will be putting little pony tails before we know it! This is a special time for all of us watching you grow and watching the cute little smiles you share with us. I'm hoping to spend more time with you next week when Daddy goes back to work. I'm sure he'll miss you lots! Well, Grandmom and Grandpop is sending you lots of hugs and kisses over the internet and will be there soon to give them to you in person!! I'll write again soon. I love you! Love and Kisses, Grandmom and Grandpop

Hi Sophia Where are you??? I know where you are, all we have to do is look at Mommy's big belly!!! Are you cozy in there??? We're ALL anxious to see you out and about!! I was hoping to see you on the 11th of July so we could be soul mates! But anytime you come is just as good. My other granddaughter, Alexis, was born in July too. July is going to be a fun month for us!! Are you getting ready to join us soon?? Everybody is getting so anxious to see you! Your great grandmother calls every day and says "is she here yet????" You have a ton of people awaiting your arrival. But it will be your special time and you just come when you want to!! Although I do have over an hour drive so please wait for me to get there!!! But you be very nice to Mommy. We don't want her to be too uncomfortable! Your other Grammy will need time to get there too. Everytime I see a little baby while I'm out or on TV, I picture you and can't wait to hold you. You are a blessing for all of us. Well, I hope to see you soon. I take my cell phone WITH ME EVERYWHERE I go. Even to the basement when I do wash, or to my mailbox, or to the store!! I was talking to my next door neighbor on Friday and I had forgotten to take my cell phone to the mailbox and I had to cut him off because I didn't want to miss your Mommy or Daddy's call!!! Grandpop and I love you bunches and will see you soon! Love Grandmom and Grandpop

Good morning Sophie Grace, It was fun spending time with you over the weekend. You are so close to making your arrival into the world. Someday though, when you see the latest pictures that we took of you, you will probably squeal in unbelief. Your mommy and daddy are silly, aren't they? BUT you will have so much fun with them! You are so blessed to have them for you parents. They will not only love you to pieces, but will keep you WELL entertained. Well, I am going to go now and work on the curtains that your mommy wants to put up in your room. I'll be waiting for that "most important" phone call. I love you! Grammy

Hi Sophia! I was thinking about you and decided to write you a note. Well I just saw Mommy's big belly!! Oh My! You might just walk right out of Mommy!!! I know the time is getting close. I am sooooo anxious to see that beautiful little face and chubby fingers and toes and everything else that comes with them! Everytime I see a baby, I think of you and am jealous til I see you. I hope to see you often and get to cuddle with you. I still remember cuddling your Daddy when he was a baby. I always loved those intimate moments when it was just me and him. I'm sure I'll enjoy them just as much with you. You and I can share secrets and dreams. I'm sure your Mommy and Daddy will enjoy those moments with you too. You are going to be a very loved child. Grandpop was talking about you yesterday and can't wait until you are here. We love you!! Love Grandmom K

Good Morning Little One, Mommy just sent an e-mail telling about your hiccups and that you are already started to drop...WOW! Maybe you will be a June baby! Still praying for the 25th (that is July) and that should give Mommy and Daddy some more time before you arrive. Mommy is finally going to update your website with a new preggy photo. I will keep checking. Love ya little rosebud, Aunt Bev

Hi Sophia, Wow...did you ever have a wonderful baby shower. You will be the best dressed baby in the county....make that country! Your mommy is looking good and you are very much expanding her tummy. I know mommy and daddy are anxious to see you but it is my prayer that you will be born on the 25th. Since God is in control of your birthday, we will all just have to wait and see. Love you very much and pray for you, mommy and daddy every day. Love, Aunt Bev

Hi Precious One, How are you doing? I was thinking about you this morning and I thought I would write you a little note. I hope you are comfortable and well. Great Grandmom Zagorny and I are going shopping this week for the Sophia Shower! It's coming fast and then before we know it, you will be coming too! I am so anxious to hold and rock you and cuddle. When your Daddy was a baby, those were my favorite times when I could just hold him and rock in my rocking chair. I used to tell him how much I loved him and that he was going to grow up and be a wonderful man. I loved his smile and his giggles. He fell in love with your wonderful Mommy and you will have the best parents ever!! I can't wait until we can play together and I can watch you take baby steps and start to talk. Wow, wonderful times are coming! Well, that's all for today. I'll talk to you again soon. Grandmom loves you lots (Grandpop too). Love, Grandmom K

Hi Sophia Grace! Yesterday I had the honor of seeing you in your Mommy's belly! It was one of the happiest moments in my life! I watched your little perfect heart beating and mine beat with you! I thought all along you were going to be a (perfect) little girl and now you are growing and getting ready to meet all the people who love you already!! Your Daddy and Mommy are so excited for your arrival but you stay right where you are for now and grow and get strong so when you arrive we can all hold you and love you all up!!! Right after we found out you were a girl, we went out for lunch to build our strength so me, your Mommy and your Grammy Finton could go out and buy you girl clothes!! We had a great time imagining what you would look like in our fashion selections!! I don't think you will have to worry about not having enough clothes!!! I can't wait to take you out shopping when you are old enough to pick out your own clothes! This Grandmom loves to shop so we'll have a ball shopping. I can't wait to cuddle you and play with you. Your Grandpop Kosh is anxiously awaiting your arrival too! You will be the apple of everyone's eye!! You are in our hearts and prayers every day! I'll talk to you again soon!! Love, Grandmom K

Hi little
darlin', It's July 13th...2 days until your due date! I am READY for you to come now. I'm getting much more uncomfortable and getting much less sleep. I know you'll come in God's timing, but I'm getting a little impatient for you to get here. I cannot wait to meet you my beautiful angel! Come soon. Love, Mommy

Hi my darling little one. Oh, we are getting closer and closer now to meeting you! I can't wait!! Aches and pains seem to be multiplying by the day, as my body gets ready for birth. Just take your time, though, and come out when you are all ready. I can certainly put up with the discomfort for a couple more weeks, if that will ensure even a little more health for you! I am SO excited to meet you, to see how beautiful you are, to get to know your personality. I love you so much, my daughter. See you soon!Love, Mommy

Hi my little Sugar! Well, time is going so fast now, and you'll be here very soon. I am big and round, and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. I can't bend over to tie shoes, or pick up things that I drop, and it's getting harder to find a comfortable position in which to sit, or stand, or lay down. This is God's way of helping us Mommies get ready to give birth, I think! You are over 6 pounds by now, and fully formed; you're just getting fatter now. You're in the right position to be born, too, smart girl!I cannot wait to meet you! You are going to be my perfect angel from heaven. I have wonderful dreams about your chubby little toes, your little nose, your tiny body. I look forward to kissing you, holding you, singing to you, bathing you. Daddy, too, is getting so excited that he can barely contain himself. You will be so loved...you already are! See you soon!Love, Mommy

Hi my sweet angel, It's been almost a month since I wrote to you last. I have been very busy, but I talk to you out loud a hundred times a day. You are about 2.5 pounds now, and over 15 inches. I bet you are gorgeous, too. Auntie
LaLa and Aidan and I went shopping yesterday, and so many people commented on how handsome Aidan is and how great I look being pregnant. I look great because I am so happy to be carrying you! I feel you move many, many times every day, and I don't think I'll ever get so used to it that I won't giggle. I feel wonderful and I have now entered my third trimester. Now, you'll just grow and grow and I'll start getting a bit more uncomfortable, I guess. Daddy and I pray for you every day. Please keep growing strong and healthy and smart and kind and beautiful. I'll see you in a couple of months. I love you absolutely.Mommy

Hi my little love. I am feeling you dance as I write. You are so active- each time I feel a kick, I have to smile. I can even see my whole belly jump when you move! Daddy loves to talk to you and put his hand on my tummy to feel you. Do you know how loved you are already, my Sophia? Can you feel how happy you make us? As I cruise through my second trimester, I can honestly say (NOW) that I love being pregnant! I'm switching over to midwives this week, instead of the obstetric doctor, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm feeling healthy and happy, although I am starting to have difficulty taking very deep breaths, and tying my shoes has become aerobic exercise. My hunger doesn't seem to be as ravenous and we're trying to eat very healthy- mostly organic, lots of fresh fruits and veggies.Your Grandparents are all looking forward to meeting you ALMOST as much as Daddy and I are. The weather is getting warm and your arrival is getting closer!Love and kisses, Mommy

Monday, March 05, 2007
Sophia Grace, I have been feeling little flutters of your movement for a week or two now. Sometimes it's even hard to tell if it's you moving, or my digestive system! This morning, though, as I lay in bed talking with your Daddy as he got ready for work, you let me have it! I had my arm across my tummy, and I even felt your kick on my arm! How exciting! People often ask me, "I bet you cannot wait until she comes, can you?" Part of me, of course, can't wait to hold you, to look at you, to dress you in bows and lace. But another very strong part of me really likes you where you are! I know that right now you are warm, you are safe, you are eating well, because you are physically part of me, and I take care of all your needs naturally. I'm sure it will be harder for me, when you are a completely separate person, to take care of all your needs exactly right, to not worry whenever I am apart from you, or to share you with anyone else. I love you, my baby girl. Please know how happy you make your Daddy and me. Keep growing strong, healthy, and wonderful in there, while your Daddy and I are working out here to make your world a safe, happy, healthy, comfortable, and very loving place.Until next time, my sweetheart.Love, Mommy

Monday, February 26, 2007
Dear God, Thank you for this beautiful little girl that you are allowing to grow inside of me. Please keep her safe and healthy. We pray each day for a healthy, strong, kind, generous, beautiful girl who loves You. We pray that we will be the kind of parents that you want us to be. Thank you,Mommy and Daddy

Friday, February 23, 2007
Dear Sophia Grace,Yesterday, at the ultrasound, I laid eyes on you for the first time, and it truly was love at first sight. You are growing perfectly, and are perfectly beautiful. You are about 10 inches long and weigh almost 11 ounces. Daddy and I talk to you all the time and we cannot wait to cuddle with you and kiss your little toes. We love you!

Sunday, January 14, 2007
Oh my goodness, Baby! You are the size of a lemon and Mommy's uterus is the size of a cantaloupe! I'll start showing any time now- 'they' say between 14 and 18 weeks- and I'll also feel you move soon - 'they' say usually between 16 and 18 weeks. Wow! What an exciting time! My birthday is this week and what a gift you are to me, everyday.

Thursday, January 04, 2007
Oh, baby of mine! Daddy and I heard your heartbeat this morning. It took a while for the doctor to find you but once she did, your heartbeat was fast and strong. At my next appointment, I will hear your heartbeat again, then I will get an ultrasound and be able to SEE you!I am past the 12 week mark and have only gained 2 pounds so far! My blood tests and all other tests have been "perfect" according to the doctors. I'm still getting sick, though, I hope that will end soon! We're getting the nursery in order, slowly but surely.

Sunday, December 17, 2006
Dear baby (Sophia or Aaron), I'm 10 weeks along now. You are the size of a kumquat. Since my last entry, I have discovered the dreaded morning sickness, afternoon sickness, and evening sickness. Although, this week, I have had some good stretches, too. It's almost Christmas, baby, my last Christmas without you. Soon after Christmas, I'll have my first ultrasound and get to see you for the first time. My body is changing shape and it's exciting and a little scary. I know, though, that your Daddy and I are going to be good parents to you, so I won't worry too much. I love you!
